Its always great to get out and meet people who might be in need of the Clutter Queen. Today, despite the horrible weather, I ventured over to Papamoa to chat to a lovely group of 60's Up. Hopefully they enjoyed learning a few storage tricks and handy ways to keep things tidy. I am looking forward to sharing more ideas with the lucky prize winners... guess what..... THEY WON ME!!
If you would like me to talk to your group about getting de-cluttered and making space for more joy in your life, get in touch.

5 Ways to Simplify Your Home]]>https://www.clutterqueen.co.nz/single-post/2016/05/09/This-is-your-first-post-1https://www.clutterqueen.co.nz/single-post/2016/05/09/This-is-your-first-post-1Mon, 09 May 2016 07:34:38 +0000
Choose items you wish to keep and discard the rest
- Hold the item in your hand - Does it bring you joy? - If Yes - it stays - If No - it goes
Organise your home by category not by room. If you do it by room you end up shuffling things around from one location to another. Start with Clothes, Books, Papers, Sentimental itemsIf you see something you want to buy - wait 4 days - you would have forgotten about it by day 4 or it won't seem so important.Take 5 mins before you got to bed to do a quick tidy. It will become a habit and you will wake in the morning feeling the joy at a tidy house.Deal with mail and paper straight away.

Everything needs a home. If you cannot find a home for it then you don't need it.If everything has a home it makes tidying quick and easy.Deal with things as you see them.Put it back when you have finished with it.Have a box at the door to fill with your throw outs and once it is full, pop it into your car and drop off to the Op shop when you next go out
